The Griffin is a 17,500 (GBA) square metre, 5 level mix use development completed in 1995 and renovated in 2008.
The building comprised 83, one, two and three bedroom fully furnished apartments with ground level commercial, function and restaurant tenancies. A public car parking facility is located within the basement of the building. The Griffin is well known for its extensive landscaped gardens which are notable in Canberra. In 2012 Willemsen converted the property to permanent residential and strata titled office units, following which these units have been offered for sale
Our practice designed, documented and construction managed the original base building, internal fitout and much of the furniture for the project. The Master Builders ACT awarded the development Building of the Year upon its completion. In 2008 our practice documented and managed the renovation of the residential components of the property.
